


Who we are?
The Puerto Rico Agricultural Biotechnology Industry Association (PRABIA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995. PRABIA members include AgReliant Genetics, BASF, Bayer Puerto Rico-Crop Science, Corteva Agriscience – Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, Illinois Crop Improvement, RiceTec y Syngenta. It is the Association’s objective to strengthen the agricultural biotechnology ecosystem on the island and around the world, in light of the challenges facing global food production. PRABIA understands the importance of environmental health, and its responsibility to encourage the economic development of Puerto Rico and its neighboring communities. PRABIA contributes to Puerto Rico’s economy by providing more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs. The Association fosters education, supports academia and establishes programs aimed at the development of future scientists and agronomists.
